Ingredients - Crust
2   | Cups | Flour | |
1   | tsp. | Salt | |
2/3 | Cup | Lard | |
6-10   | Tbsp. | Water | The colder the better. |
Ingredients - Filling
7   | Cups | Pears | Sliced |
1   | Cup | Sugar | |
1/3 | Cup | Flour | |
1/2 | tsp. | Cinnamon | |
Instructions
Pie Crust
- This will make a double (thicker) crust.
- Blend lard and dry ingredients in a bowl with your fingers (or pastry blender) until you havev very small crumbs.
- Gradually stir in water until you have stiff dough.
- Roll out on a floured board.
Pear Filling
- Mix well.
- Bake in a Double pie shell at 375° for 1 hour.
